North East Community Hub (NECH) was founded in late 2014. We aim to build stronger and more supportive neighbourhoods in Flagstaff and Rototuna, as well as work alongside Hamilton City Council to improve community facilities for everyone’s enjoyment. The north east of Hamilton is a diverse community. People come from all over the world to live here. We want everyone to feel involved and welcome.
North East Community Hub (NECH) is the operating name of Hamilton North East Community Development Trust which is a registered charity under the Charities Act 2005. Charity registration number: CC41596.

I have been a proud Hamiltonian for almost fifty years and joined the Flagstaff community four years ago.
I was a secondary school teacher and Career Advisor for 38 years and really enjoyed guiding and advising young people to their future directions. Now enjoying a different life, I volunteer as an interviewer at Citizens Advice which is stimulating, rewarding and always learning new things. I have also been appointed as a Justice of the Peace as this is another way of working with and in the community.
Married to Rob for many years I enjoy accompanying him to city events. Getting to know the city better makes me proud to call Hamilton home. Our three daughters have provided five grandchildren for us to spoil and enjoy.
As a trustee of NECH I look forward to establishing a more connected community by planning and providing facilities and infrastructure for our diverse community to enjoy. It is exciting to be part of the planning process to establish our community hub and I look forward to the challenges ahead. I enjoy working with the other trustees of NECH and hope together we can build an exciting community.
